Research description

  • Microbial Fuel Cells

The focus of our research is to determine how electrons are passed across the outer membrane of Geobacter sulfurreducens to produce electricity. The approach involves testing of different mutants and materials in collaboration with a variety of reserachers here at UMASS and at other locations worldwide.
