Welcome to the GeobacterWiki!
A local copy of PmWiki's documentation has been installed along with the software, and is available via the documentation index. Creating and editing web pages on a Wiki is easy. To edit a page, click on the 'Edit' button. Use the tool buttons for text formatting, or click on the 'Show Help' button for a list of text formatting rules. You can preview your page by clicking on the 'Preview' button, before clicking 'Save' to save the page. New pages are created by creating links in existing pages, then following the link (which will have a little question mark next to it). This will open up an edit page for the new page.
Files can be easily uploaded to the Wiki. Use the 'Attach' button (the little paperclip), or use the Attach keyword (see the 'Help' for more info).
Specific areas or pages on the Wiki can be password-protected, so that we can set up private sections for lab members and collaborators, as well as public sections (like the lab member info pages).
